The Dual Comfort Belt makes Suunto heart rate monitors the ultimate multi-sports solution
Suunto, the leading sports precision instrument manufacturer, has added new features to its successful heart rate monitors, aimed for performance oriented fitness and sports enthusiasts and racers.
The new Dual Comfort Belt makes the Suunto heart rate monitors the ultimate multi-sports solution both indoors and outdoors: the comfortable textile heart rate belt is compatible with most of the gym cardio equipment, Suunto heart rate monitors and Suunto Fitness Solution classes.
With the Suunto Dual Comfort Belt, a fitness enthusiast can monitor his/her heart rate easily and accurately while spinning, running on treadmill or any other gym cardio equipment with display. Suunto Fitness Solution is group exercise monitoring system that shows up to 72 participants’ heart rates simultaneously in real-time in the class. And certainly a fitness enthusiast can use the Dual Comfort Belt also with all Suunto heart rate monitors, combined with the Suunto PODs for the speed and distance tracking both indoor and outdoor.
The term Dual refers to the fact that the Suunto Dual Comfort Belt is the only heart rate chest strap on the market that combines the digital ANT-technology for disturbance-free transmission to the wrist unit and group monitoring, and the traditional analog transmission for compatibility with gym equipment.
The user can change the Dual Comfort Belt batteries easily by himself and even hand wash the textile belt. Thanks to its light weight, excellent fit, and comfortable textile material, the Suunto Dual Comfort Belt is almost unnoticable during exercises.
In line with the introduction of Suunto Dual Belt, Suunto refreshed the design of the heart rate monitor range. The new t6d Black Fusion and t6d Black Smoke are now available in black, with stylish red and grey accents. The Suunto t6d is targeted for committed amateur and professional athletes. It measures the time interval between heart beats and its variations to produce seven different body parameters. The Suunto t6d shows many of these measurement results directly on display: the Training Effect, aerobic benefit of a workout or training session on a one-to-five scale, EPOC (Excess Post-exercise oxygen consumption), and calories burned. The user can also freely customize the display and choose which data he/she needs mostly for the current training. With the help of sport-specific attachment PODs:, Foot POD, Bike POD, GPS POD, Cadence POD the user can expand the heart rate equipment as needs evolve.
Suunto t4d White Blaze and Suunto t4d Silver Frost feature the Suunto Coach function, helping users maximize their performance. The Suunto Coach feature generates a personalized 5-day training plan that helps to maintain a balance between workout and rest times. It makes intelligent recommendations for the frequency, duration, and intensity of workouts and gives accurate, personalized guidance by prescribing different training intensities on different days.
Using Training Effect as a guide, Suunto Coach also maps out an accurate schedule of when to train and when to rest - and adapts the program according to the actual days users train.
Suunto t3d Black, Suunto t3d Black Polished and Suunto t3d Sporty Red allow users to track their progress with real time Training Effect: a quick and accurate measurement of how hard their body's working at any given moment.
All Suunto heart rate monitors allow users to monitor their heart rate and calories consumption in real time.
The new training products will be available as of April 2010.
