Dear Outdoor enthusiast,
We here at Suunto would like to learn more about how you do Outdoor sports:
You are the person we are looking for if:
- you do one or more of the following activities on the mountain / hills: Trekking, Mountaineering, Trail Running, Mountain Biking, Backcountry / free skiing (off-piste, the type of skis/snowboard you use doesn’t matter)
- you normally do your sports at least 20 times a year
- you read magazines / web sites specific to your Outdoor activity
- you are interested in “professional level” gear
- you tend to make thorough research before buying new gear
If you answered YES to our preliminary screening questions that makes you an Outdoor enthusiast whose experiences are very interesting for us! So please tell us your story from your sport!
TASKS
Write two detailed descriptions of what’s included in the most important activities in your sport (e.g. typical training session, day trip to a mountain). Choose two (2) cases, and write what happens during each. Please pick the ones that are either most common or most important for you.
Writing these stories typically takes about half an hour each. Your writing should describe what you typically do and consider before, during, and after the session; for example
“First I’ll check the thermometer and select the suitable clothes for the weather… I’ll wear my light weight shoes because I plan to go fast…during the activity I want to know my heart rate and the exact vertical speed… after the trip I will stretch my legs and hamstrings for 10 minutes… typically I’ll update my Facebook status with what I did”
Send these stories to Jari.Ikaheimonen@suunto.com and Kati.Ahvonen@suunto.com. After receiving your story we will send you a personal link to a multiple-choice web questionnaire which should not take longer than 10 minutes to fill in (no writing required).
REWARD
Once you’ve done the tasks described above you will participate in a lottery of Suunto sports instrument. Every 3rd answer receives a Suunto sports instrument from selected list of Suunto models (prices up to 249€).
SCHEDULE
Please submit your stories by Sunday the 3rd of October. Please write your stories in English as much as possible – you can make comments in your native language if needed. We will contact you personally in case you become one of the lucky winners in our product reward lottery.
Your stories and the content therein will be used for Suunto internal purposes only (for customer insight and product development purposes).
