David Grayson will combine a love of outdoor sports with more than a dozen years of industry leadership experience in the specialty market as he steps up to Suunto USA’s commercial helm
Suunto, a leader in precision sports instruments, has strengthened its North American subsidiary by adding David Grayson to its ranks as National Sales Manager for the US. Grayson joins the Suunto team in Ogden, Utah, bringing solid credibility in run, bike and outdoor specialty as well as general sporting goods. Grayson most recently served as National Business Manager for PowerBar, where he developed strategic sales and marketing plans across the sport specialty channel leading to double digit growth amongst aggressive competition. Prior to PowerBar, Grayson led successful sales teams at RockShox both in the US and Europe.
“David’s experience and relationships in the specialty training and outdoor market should be an immediate value add for Suunto as we look to increase our distribution and educate sales staff on the floor to guarantee sell thru in these channels,” says Nora Stowell, Vice President and Business Director for Suunto North America.
At Suunto, Grayson’s main focus will be to further develop and manage an already strong national sales force, expand distribution and strengthen Suunto’s positioning in the outdoor and training categories. An avid mountain biker, skier and loyal Suunto user, Grayson is grateful for the opportunity to return to his roots in the technical outdoor industry.
