Peter TjushkevichPeter Tjushkevich is the first Russian kiteboarder who had taken so high place in a world rating: nobody else from Russia got Cup PKRA (Professional Kiteboard Riders Association) before.

In 2009 Tjushkevich had got the most prestigious award in the world of kite surfing becoming the world champion in ISAF version and the owner of Cup KPWT.

Now Peter lives and trains on Mauritius, and prepares for the championship of Russia which will be in the end of summer in Anapa (Russia).

As the happy owner of Suunto Core Extreme Edition Red he uses it during his trainings and shared his first impressions with us:

Peter Tjushkevich“First of all, as for me, the timer is very important: you can always check what time left, how many minutes have passed from the start. It is necessary to execute simple tricks in the beginning of performance and to have time to make some difficult ones in the end, so it is important to understand, how much time do you have for it. The dial`s big & convenient, it allows to see you timing during performance.

Another useful thing is the barometer. We, the kiters, depend on weather very much. Having barometer you always know which, where and when the wind will blow. So I do not waste my time on the Internet: the necessary information is already stored on my wrist.

Thirdly, I’m still actively using altimeter as I began to jump with a parachute. With an altimeter you always know about your altitude. By the way, I compared indications of Suunto Core and the professional devices and I was surprised that my watches work exactly and accurately. So,
I usually use all functions in my Suunto Core”
